Penang Zhu Yok Fun (猪肉粉) in Subang Jaya.

When you think about Subang Jaya, what can you relate to? Traffic Jam? Difficult to locate a carpark? Or hot chicks from colleges around?

To me, true enough & its very difficult to locate a carpark in Subang, especially the business area. (Unless you don’t mind to park quite far apart & walk)

As you can see from the picture, many cars like to double park & it causes a lot of inconveniences to others.

Well, maybe I really don’t know where to locate a good parking there.

But just a thought about this place, those parking problems will no longer be a problem to me. Why? Only one reason – FOOD. So, today I am going to introduce you guys to Restaurant Pomander, which is located in Subang SS15.

Its not too difficult to locate this place, the shop is orange in color & you will hardly missed it. This place is also visited by a lot of college students. Indeed, a nice place to wash your eyes, guys place to hang out.

There are some stalls over here ie. Chicken Rice, Chee Cheong Fun but what’s that really popular over here is the Pork Noodle stall. I believe those who live in Subang for many years would have heard of & even tried this before. Prior to this, it was located not too far from Subang Parade at one of the corner coffee shop opposite. The so called coffee shop was under some renovations which took the Pork Noodle stall’s owner 7 months of wait & finally decided to move here.

When I was taking this picture, the lady asked me in a stern manner,”Excuse me, for what purpose ar?!” I will have to introduce myself as a food reviewer in order to calm her down. Well, according to them, they don’t really need more publicity as they’ve been operating for the past 19 – 20 years & customers are abundant. Apart from that, they don’t want to have any imitations elsewhere. That’s why they don’t quite like people taking pictures of their stall unless you ask for permission.

As much as I enjoyed this, of course I will have to share it with you guys right? Sharing is caring. (Even though they don’t need further publicity) So, the bowl of Pork noodle is just right in this picture. (Already in my stomach too) It may not look as convincing but I assure you, the soup is good, the minched pork is good, the pork liver is good, even the pork intestine is good (Tender, very tender). Basically, its a flawless bowl of Pork Noodle. (Except quite fattening)

You can have four choices of noodles – Bee Hoon (Rice Vermicelli), Mee (Noodle), Kuey Tiaw (Rice fettuccine) & Mee Sua/Misua (Thin, salted wheat noodles). For me, I love Mee Sua above the rest. The small bowl will cost you RM4.80 & the big bowl is RM5.50. Its not really that cheap but its definitely worth the money because of the quality. They are open for business starting from slightly before lunch (1100am or even earlier) till they finish their noodles.

Note : The soup is extremely hot, I often had my tongue burnt because I can’t wait to enjoy it.

I’ve been to this shop once. It was rather a long wait (more than 45 mins during lunch time) in order to get a bowl of noodles.
