I am never a fan of Fish Ball Noodle, due to the look that is too plain, clear & this give me the ‘tasteless’ kind of impression. Today, I am a changed person, I now appreciate Fish Ball Noodle very much. Who knows, those whom don’t like may become a convert after reading this.

Somewhere along the “Hungry Streets” (为吃街) in Cheras, there is this humble little stall, that offers very good Fish Ball Noodle.
Uncle got very excited when I informed him that I am going to snap pictures & post it up in the website. Just to introduce that here, they’ve got Fish Ball Noodle/Kuey Tiaw, Pork Ball Noodle & Curry Laksa.

I usually prefer to go around 11am as there aren’t too many people around. Well, they start their business at 7am & finish at around 12pm.
Apart from selling it over here, they are also selling in Night Market (Pasar Malam) at various places ie. Taman Permata (Tuesday), Maju Jaya (Wednesday), Taman Seraya (They’ve got night market along the “Hungry Streets”) & Taman Muda (Sunday). When I exclaimed to them,”Very hardworking!” Auntie replied,”找吃加难!..” (Means to say, difficult to find a living)

How difficult it is, I still think that they are doing well & will continue to do well because there are people really (& also going to be) digging this!

& this!
The reason I like it so much is because of the soup & texture of the Fish Ball. The plain soup apparently doesn’t seems to be tasteless. Their home made fish ball is very bouncy & doesn’t taste too fishy. The noodles when mixed with the soup is quite tasty & taste even better with the soy sauce + Chilly Padi. The dry based noodle has always been my favourite & needless to say, I definitely enjoyed it much.

They serve the Fish Balls separately when you order the dry based noodle.

As I was mentioning about the Chilly Padi, you’ve also got a choice of their Sambal Belacan.

I enjoyed doing this & I learnt this from my girl friend. Well, dipping Fish Ball with Chilly Padi + Soy Sauce make it a little saltier & sweeter. Somehow, the blend seems to be really good to me.
Here’s the map & its located in Taman Seraya. Its at the shoplots before the BP station, but the inner part of it. Hope you can really make use of the map & locate it, all the best & happy buurping, cheers!
