Dear readers, I am going to write about a restaurant I visited recently.. Yeah & indeed, ALSO selling Chicken Rice. (goldfries – the article is about Roasted Pork!
)

The moment I entered this restaurant, the entire setting captured my attention. Not because they have got very old tables & chairs, rather the pictures of all sort of Chinese Ministers all over the wall (Ong Ka Ting, Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng & you name it).

Apart from that, I also saw a lot of newpapers cutting & basically, the wall is very packed with “decorations”.

So, this is another very famous Siew Yok place (Roasted Pork). As its stated on the display board, they only start selling Siew Yok at 12:30pm sharp! Not anytime earlier than that.

What that makes the Siew Yok so famous here mainly is due to the texture of the skin. Well, its very crispy, with the meat which is tender & nice to bite.

The best thing about here is that, its not pack at all, there are ample of spaces for you to seat. You don’t have to fight with others & its not cramp at all.

The only setback is that, the Siew Yok consist more fat than meat. Half of the time, I was separating the fat from the meat & skin. In fact, just within 2 weeks, I’ve visited them two times & both times I’ve experienced the same thing. I guess, the next time when I visit them, I should inform them to give me not so fatty meat instead.

Oh yeah, I must mention about the chilly, its very tasty & spicy. So, chilly lovers, you know what to do.. *Wink..

In order to drink soup, you gotta do it yourself. I like it when they allow me to do so because I can scoop as much of ingredients as I want. (I remember at another Chicken Rice stall, I have the habit of scooping soup along with chicken feet, at least 4 - 5 of them)

Wong Kee is also a very kinda hearted restaurant, just as kind as Munchy’s sponsoring Namewee. They hang the mock cheque right at the highest part of the wall.

So, to visit this kind hearted Wong Kee, here’s the address.
Note : Our friend here is a PJK. Its an honor to have him to chop Siew Yok for you to enjoy.

Robert is also a member of Lions Club.
Just in case you still can’t find it, here’s a map to help you. Its at the area behind of Times Square. You can go from Jalan Pudu straight up towards Cheras & make the second turning on your left.
