I remember one fine day a few months back when we came across this interesting shop with a very bright yellow facade and some cute looking scooters parked in front. It was so interesting that we decided we should give it a try one day, and so we did.
A friend of mine commented that she will never go back to Domino’s or Pizza Hut for pizza, after tasting Yellow Cab Pizza. She also added that the pizza size is enormous. Her pizza tale gave us more reason to try their Yellow Cab’s pizza. Soon we embarked our journey the outlet at USJ10, Taipan located in Subang Jaya.

As we were heading to the destination, from afar we were greeted by their cute looking yellow scooters with yellow outlet background color and stripes of black & white boxes. Their choice of color stands out so well, flashing boldly and yet giving a contemporary feel to passerby as if it is calling for attention. Indeed for this time, Yellow Cab Pizza got our attention!
As soon as we got into the outlet, the expected mood of the ambiance lost and transformed to another similar looking Domino’s Pizza outlet interior, with plain table, seats and yellow walls and decors.

I just wished the management could have invest on more comfortable long yellow cushions seats instead of hard wood textured seats and install more warmth looking lighting. Also, serving diners their food in better cutlery material, instead of paper plates and plastic fork. I believe it will enhance the dining experience for diners.

Anyway, enough said for the experience of the Yellow Cab Subang Jaya outlet. We began our ordering. Yellow Cab Pizza pizzas’ comprise of 2 main types; i.e., Classic Pizza flavours and Specialty Pizza flavours with 3 alternative sizes of 10″, 14″ and 18″. The rest of the menu are extras dishes such as calzone, spaghetti, pasta, baked potatoes and chicken wings. Interestingly, you can also request to customize or add on your pizza topping ingredients with additional charge.

#4 Cheese, RM26.90 (10″ size)
Since we are cheese lovers, this was our first pizza. Indeed it was a cheesey haven experience for us! The pizza’s topping is made out of a few types of cheeses – Mozzarella, Cheddar, Romano and Feta. The savoury flavours of all these cheeses, with slight tinge of bitterly taste blends so well, giving an Uumph! in every bite.

Manhattan Meatlovers, RM25.70 (10″ size)
This pizza is suitable for hardcore meatlovers. Yes …. not even a single piece of vegetable was seen in the topping of this pizza. The ingredients were chicken ham, beef pepperoni, Italian beef sausage, ground beef, beef salami and beef bacon. The sweet savoury flavours of ground beef, ham, salami, bacon and sausage…..Oouh…Nice!

Overall we were well received by courteous and attentive staff. However, we waited quite a fair bit of time for our pizza to be served. Also, we encountered a scenario whereby we found an insect in our Manhattan Meatlovers pizza. However to our pleasure, we were immediately attended to and the pizza was replaced with a new one. Generally the pizza prices are reasonable.
Do note that the review was just confine to these few pizzas. There are varieties of choices available for you to try.

if not mistaken there’s also another branch near Nuffnang KL’s office at Dang Wangi.
There’s an outlet near to Dang Wangi there, wondering how it fares nowadays.
Though I’ve heard not so favourable reviews.
The carnivorous portion of the second one looks intimidating, yet strangely luscious.
The cheese pizza looks wickedly cheesy! Like J2Kfm, I’ve heard some not so nice things about this Yellow Cab, so I wasn’t in a rush to try.
ya loh, heard not so good reviews so i didnt try. Love Papa Johns tho..for now.
@CLF – got, it’s all on the site.
@J2K – really ah? I guess just like any other place, there will be mixed. If it’s not a mix it’s either damn good or damn lousy.
@bangsar-babe / @thenomadgourmand – ehhh odd leh, i guess our friends vary in taste?
the meat topping seem like very generous huh…
