A friend of mine brought me to Secret of Louisiana at Plaza Kelana Jaya in December last year for an unlimited refill spaghetti refill experience, I loved it so much I had to bring lexiegirl over and so I did a few weeks later.
This spaghetti refill promotion is available only on weekdays, from 11:30am to 3:00pm. We have no idea whether it’s a limited offer thing but there doesn’t seem to be any indication of it.
There’s 7 types of spaghetti style to choose from, it comes with free drink, dessert, salad and soup (pictures further down the page) – at RM 14.80
The 7 spaghetti are Mexican Aglio Olive, Chicken with Olive, Beef Bolognaise, Chicken Smoked Sausage, Carbonara Chicken, Creamy Pesto White Fish and Vegetable Stir-fried Spaghetti.
We had our share of Beef Bolognaise, Carbonara Chicken and creamy Pesto White Fish.
The promotion goes like this – you just order your pasta. Once you done eating the served portion, you can order your next plate and it doesn’t have to be the same type.
My favorite being the Carbonara Chicken for the creamy white sauce and mushroom.
Next in line is the Beef Bolognaise which is pretty much your usual spaghetti but I like how they practically showered the dish with parmesan cheese.
The Creamy Pesto White Fish was alright, I love the grilled fish but the pesto isn’t something I’m fond of.
Our total damage comes to about RM 35, much thanks to the additional iced water ordered. I had a total of 4 plates, 2 plates shy of my record but in my previous trip they served some clear looking soup, this time around they served mushroom soup. 🙂 Probably a good idea to call and find the soup served before heading over.
On our visit, we reached at about 11:30am with the intention to beat the lunch crowd by a little over an hour to enjoy the service. The crowd trickles in at about 12:45pm or so, by 1:30pm it’s already more than half occupied and the spaghetti is being served at a mich slower pace. Not a bad thing actually, considering we need time to digest our previous servings.
It’s a good idea to visit on a cloudy day if you intend to be seated by the lake, not that the lake is anything spectacular to begin with but dining without being walled is still a refreshing experience to many.
Things get a little warm when the sun is blazing but the management does have decent amount of fan units to keep us cool. If it rains, chances are you might need to move. Should you choose to dine indoors, here’s your dining area.
It also leads to the carpark area.
