Funny as it may seem, the restaurant is indeed called Restoran Sup Pedas Kajang found in Puchong.
I must say, this place was a “surprise HIT” in my book. It was quite late in the evening and my friend and I wanted to have dinner. Looking around, we saw this brightly lit shop with quite some crowd in there and thought to give it a try.

Our meal started off with “Ho Liao” (好料) Seafood Roll – the roll was crispy, content and taste wasn’t spectacular. No different from any other seafood roll.

The “ha mai chao bao choi” – erm……. LOL I don’t remember the English name for it, basically Fried Cabbage with Dried Shrimp Paste.
This one’s good, well fried. The vegetable maintains its freshness and water content while emanating the scent of shrimp paste.

After that was the Hot & Spicy soup that consists of pork, chicken and intestines. Lovely soup, pork being the dominant aroma of the dish. The soup is of course with some spice, adding to the OOMPH of the overall experience.

Lastly – the fish, Madam Ong’s Steamed Tilapia. This was THE dish of the night, it really blew me and my buddy away.

The fish was decently large and very fresh, and the paste covering the half-split steamed tilapia made it memorable as it brought a roller-coaster ride of sweet, sour and spice to our taste buds.
Total damage as seen below….

It’s on the higher side of the price, considering it was only 2 of us having the meal but that said, it’s a restaurant worth recommending.
They also have loyalty card for the regulars.
