Cowboy Triple Meat Burger at T.G.I. Fridays

Cowboy Triple Meat Burget at T.G.I. Fridays I came by T.G.I. Friday’s Cowboy Triple Meat Burger advertisement banner a few weeks back – what struck my attention was the sheer size and content of the burger.

From the picture alone, it looks like it’s going to be a mouthful.

So how was the burger?

Summarized version : VERY NICE!

I ordered the meat to be medium, and so the burger arrived as such. Not the usual red rimmed plate from T.G.I. Fridays.

The challenge was to figure out how to eat it since it’s stacked up so high. I just removed the sliced tomatoes and fried onions. I’m not a fan of onions anyway.

So with those obstacles out of the way, I made my way through the huge burger. Now if you ever had their burger before, like say their Cheeseburger, the size of this burger (minus the tomato and onions) felt a little bit bigger.

I’m a T.G.I. Fridays regular and I must say that I had my best beef bacon slice on this one, and the slow-cooked BBQ beef is the key item that made the difference. All else, it looks pretty much like the Beef Bacon burger that costs only about 2/3 the price.

No idea what’s the white stuff between the bun and the patty in their promo image, I don’t see any white stuff on my set.

Now do note that it’s not a 3-layer beef patty burger. The “Triple meat” meant BBQ Beef + Beef bacon + Beef patty.

As you can see in the photo above, the dish comes with fries and 2 cups of sauce. White sauce and BBQ sauce.

Price of the burger? RM 35.90. I also ordered the Mountain Dew Live Wire (refillable) at RM 5 that is part of the package, so my total bill was RM 47.45.

Overall the burger was good but the price is on the high side.

With this experience, I wish that …….

1. Cowboy Triple Meat Burger would be priced lower.
2. All Beef Bacon Burger produced would have the same quality of beef bacon. T.G.I. Fridays’ beef bacon is inconsistent.

While the combo may be good to some, small eaters may find the portion to be intimidating as gorging in richly filled burger with those french fries and the fried onion can be overwhelming.

Tried once which I though it was pretty good. Didn’t really like the BBQ beef though (not a big fan of sweet stuff for main meals). But one thing (or maybe two) about TGIF patty is that it’s a lil salty and falls off easily.

I eat the cowboy triple every time I go to Fridays, it’s really amazing burger and the best burger I’ve eaten, and the price isn’t high comparing to what it gives.
But I stopped eating it as it’s too big and I always leave almost the half of it and my main food in Fridays is currently Twister and Buffalo Wings which are the best choice for me and has a great price range.
