Knowing the culture of others is handy, especially in business. Many times, the success rate of a deal hinges on our attitudes and conducts in business meetings, and more so when handling with counterparts of other culture origins. There is never any fixed rule as to how and where a business meeting is held or conducted. However, feasting and business are rituals that cannot be done away with.

We will be sharing information on the dining etiquette, the American and European styles.

To begin our article, you need to know that we do not wish to overload you with information. Therefore, we had split this article into 3 parts – The dining etiquette: American vs European styles #1 – #3.

Let us start by providing you the understanding of what is “table manners”;

Table manners are the rules of etiquette used while eating, which may also include the appropriate use of utensils. Different cultures observe different rules for table manners. Each family or group sets its own standards for how strictly these rules are to be enforced.
