Celebrating Being Malaysian #14 – Ros Sirap

Ros sirap is a common term for this drink, the ros sirap is essentially a mixture of water and rose cordial syrup. TADAAAAA. The drink can sweetened with sugar.

Ros Sirap is often served at open houses, gatherings and also formal occasions like Malay weddings. It’s easy to serve and cost effective, just as with any other cordial drinks.

That’s not to say you can only get ros sirap during some fancy occasion, not at all. The one in the picture above is a glorified (and pricey) version that we ordered at a restaurant.

It’s a drink that’s available at most places, of course – don’t ever think of going to McD hoping to find it. 🙂 You won’t.
