Now tell me, who doesn’t love ice cream? Ok fair enough, there are some of you that cringe at the sight of stuff that are sweet and cold but there are many of us who love having a taste of ice cream after a hearty meal or chilling out from the hot weather.
All the way from the country up north known as Japan, is this brand called Cornet.
Besides the usual chocolate and vanilla, they also come in other flavors such as White Chocolate, Matcha (Yeah, I know, sounds like what you’ll call the waiters at mamak shops), Coconut, Dolce Latte and so on.
Oh look! There’s even a guide for you on how to order. Apparently the Agepan you see is that fried bread that they serve with, which is also known as the Fried Cornet Bun as per the title of this article
And here’s the menu, stating the unique selling points of this imported dessert.
They even have the replica of the ice cream on display.
Here’s our Cornet Premium with Italian Cream (RM9.90). It’s tasty, the best I can describe it is as eating ice cream with fried bun …… 😛
Just picture it as having a cooling and rich milky flavoured ice cream on top of a bun that’s fried, a bun that’s a little oily and crispy on the outside.
Here’s another picture of the cornet ice cream, don’t bother guessing who’s teeth marks are those. Om nom nom nom.
Besides the ice cream, they also sell smoothies. They’re below RM 10 and tastes good, reminds me of ice blended drinks from the other big names in the industry.
The difference between Cornet’s smoothie with other ice blended brands is the element of surprise in each sip – some mild chewables that goes along. A bit of chocolate chips in the Chocolate Smoothie, while red beans in the other smoothie flavour.
