As some of you might have known, I was giving a talk at CEX 2013 over the weekend, and the event was held at Viva Home.
I’m not familiar with the place and decided to explore the food court, and I chanced upon this outlet.
Don’t be fooled by it’s simple appearance, there were quite many people lining up to order!
After about what seems to be 10 minutes of wait, I ordered the following.
RM 6.90 – cheap, comes with a drink of my choice of which I ordered air sirap. (rose syrup drink).
What’s interesting is the delivery speed. Upon taking order, they start frying the rice very shortly and served to the counter.
Here’s the rice.
The aroma isn’t something to shout about but nevertheless the rice as a whole is good. Little to no meat content but it’s rich in the necessary ingredients that make it a pretty decent fried rice that’s a good example of what local fried rice is.
Of course this fried rice is Malay style than the Chinese style. There’s a whole bunch of other thing on their menu that looked interesting.
Location – the food court on the 3rd floor of Viva Home, it’s called Gurney Drive Food Court.
Oh by way, click here for Viva Home’s location. It’s along Jalan Loke Yew, towards Cheras area.
