Brotzeit is a chain of restaurants based in Singapore, and now operating throughout the Asia-Pacific Region and currently they have only 2 outlets here in Malaysia, one in Midvalley Megamall and another at Sunway Pyramid.
Our visit lands us at a lunch session at the Midvalley outlet.
Our delicious German meal starts with Soup of the Day (RM 7) which so happens to be mushroom soup, a lovely way to ease our way to the heavyweights of the day.
The starter was followed by a Mixed Sausage Plate (RM 15), a good way to experience their range of sausages. My favorite among the 3 was the one with cheese inside.
Here’s a cut-away view of the sausages, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out which is the one with cheese.
The heavyweight for our lunch was the Pork Knuckle (RM 85). Not only was the pork knuckle tasty, the amount of sides that came with the pork knuckle was a nice touch.
As you can see from the photo above, the presentation of the pork knuckle wasn’t the usual “one long piece” served on an elongated plate. It was pre-cut in some ways so that makes it a lot easier to dive into the savory goodness of pork.
And to end the hearty meal, we had the Bavarian Trifle, layers of orange & triple sec of rum infused sponge fingers & fresh cream.
If you fancy a German meal, I think Brotzeit is a good place to mark X. This place is packed during dinner time, I’ve witnessed it myself; not just in Malaysia but Singapore as well. 🙂
