And so my pork knuckle craving kicked in just a day before the Chinese New Year so I decided to give Bavarian Bierhaus’s pork knuckle a go.
Up on our order is the Schweinshaxen und Baby Rippen – no, there were no babies involved in this dish. It’s Roast Pork Knuckles and BBQ Baby Ribs. Mind you they’re not ribs from babies, they’re pork ribs.
Here’s another view of this RM 80 gargantuan dish. This is the best tasting pork knuckle we’ve tried, love the crispy and crunchy roasted pork skin, not to mention also the juicy and tender meat underneath. Presentation wise, it’s far from being great. You should see how Brotzeit presented their pork knuckle.
Then there’s also this Pork Chop lunch set that comes with pumpkin soup and soft drinks for RM 19.95. Rather tough slab of pork but it was well cooked and not that tough to chew on.
Here’s the pumpkin soup, tastes like mushroom soup.
Lastly I tried the Frozen Ocean (RM 13.90) a mocktail that is a mix of Apple juice, Sour Mix and soda water.
No sexy German beer lady around but rest assured you’re in for some good food here.
