The name “The Bee” isn’t new, they opened their first outlet at Jaya One many years ago and shortly after that, they opened a 2nd outlet at Publika.
The Bee is a cozy place (regardless of outlet) and it’s a common choice of venue for small / medium sized events. The Bee’s also a great hangout place, with some parts of the setup being sofa set and coffee table instead of the usual restaurant chair and table.
First in our highlight is the Bee Burger, their signature burger with 180g of medium-rare 100% Australian beef, with turkey bacon, cheddar cheese, pickets, garlic aioli and french fries.
The burger might be priced on the high side of RM 25 but it was well worth it, lovely to each bite as the aroma of beef patty oozes from within.
The Fish & Chips (RM 26) was good too, served with the usual french fries and tartar sauce. Nicely battered with the fish retaining its taste and texture.
The Nachos (RM 16, add beef and it’s RM 18) was a disappointment, to me it’s just yet another one of those nachos where it’s taken from a nacho pack and with cheese added on it.
I must admit I’m spoiled by the Nachos from Chilis.
Fortunately the Chicken Avocado Salad (RM 18) did not disappoint, in fact it’s probably the tastiest salad I’ve come by.
Generous chunks of sliced chicken fillet served on fresh green vegetables and covered in good amount of sauce, what more could I ask for?
And for dessert, we ordered Brownies in Jar (RM 12.50). Nothing special, looks like just ice cream on top of a crushed cake but it sure tastes good.
The food was great but we felt that the service could use some improvement. They served all the food at once, after some 20 minutes of wait. 🙁 Part of our dishes felt like it loss quite some heat already, especially the Fish & Chip and the Bee Burger.
