Char Koay Teow @ O’Penang, IPC

I was going about my errands at IPC (Ikano Power Center, Mutiara Damansara) over a blazing hot afternoon one day and I chance upon this little shop at P1 level of the shopping complex.

I see “Penang”, I think of “Char Koay Teow” – yes I must admit I have this ambition of locating nice ones here in Klang Valley and if you’re a regular at Buurps, you’ll probably remember that I have quite a number of CKT articles.

And I did what any CKT-afficionado would do – ORDER!

The CKT comes only in 1 size, and with the option of spicy and non-spicy. The CKT costs RM 9.90 and takes some 15 minutes to prepare but mine came in about 10 minutes, much thanks to the fact that I was the only patron at that tea-time hour.

For RM 9.90, I find that the serving is of a decent portion but in terms of taste it’s no where near my favorite at Damansara Perdana. It is however quite close to the one at Tong Shin (Puchong).

Good sized prawns and bean sprout served along with the nicely stir-fried CKT that’s served on a wrapper with banana leaf.

The restaurant opened since 1st January 2014 and I’m sure the CKT will be better through the course of time. 🙂 I’m just happy to know that there’s a place for me to get a CKT fix at IPC if ever I need one.
