Observing Table Manners of the Chinese – Dining Etiquette #2

Table manners is a very important social protocol to observe in which it reflects who you are, your family and your cultural background, at least this is what an average Chinese thinks whether they are of China or overseas origin. However each Chinese family has their own standard as to how strict the rule is enforced so therefore some dining etiquette may be watered down through time in the process of assimilation especially for those of the overseas.

If you’re a Chinese, let’s play a little game called ‘How Chinese are you with table manners?’ The rule of the game is simple as what is required is to watch the videos as below and to identify what ‘is and not’ observed by you or in your family; while for other Buurps viewers of non-Chinese background, it’s a great way in getting to know your neighbours.

Here’s a playlist of Chinese dining etiquette, you may click on the ‘PLAYLIST’ icon located on the top left of the video to peruse the list.
