World Cup 2014 Fever with McDonald’s Spicy Habanero Meals

The weekend passed marked the beginning of yet another season where people go crazy over balls, and people who have no interest in balls pretend to have interest in balls – World Cup 2014!

The Spicy Habanero Meals certainly looked attempt to bring the World Cup mood to McDonald’s menu.

I took that RM 14.50 set of Spicy Habanero Chicken that comes with Lime Fiesta McFizz.

I was utterly disappointed by the burger, it was so poorly made that it doesn’t carry the soul of a burger at all! Suffice to say, it’s just a shoddy work of slapping a boneless fried chicken in between the buns and carelessly sprinkle some sliced vegetables all over.

Appearance aside, the experience is best described as Spicy Chicken McDeluxe with slight tangy sauce. Go figure. It wasn’t spectacular and it’s certainly not something I’d recommend.

As for the drink, it tasted alright but there’s so many floating residue from the squashed pineapple that it totally ruins the experience from sipping through the straw.

The RM 2.50 Banana Kick Pie is aptly named, it is a Banana Pie. Just picture their usual Apple Pie but with the contents and taste being of Banana. 🙂

See? Even the innards look the same.

The Spicy Habanero meal leaves much to be desired, I think it’ll be much better if they actually put effort into improving the contents and assembly.

Dave,I’m not aware of any ActiveX libraries for S3. Someday maybe I’ll find the time to write a “proper2 library, but unlikely, as my motley collection of code snippets is “good enough” for what I personally need and I now tend to use Python’s easy-to-use and powerful Boto library for most of my S3/EC2 “scripting” needs (see )Tom
