Miniature Food Items by April Yim

Check out these lovely miniatures! They’re made in Malaysia. 😀

I love food, I love photographing food and I also collect miniatures, you can guess how excited I was when I found out a friend of mine is the craftswoman behind these tiny non-edible delicacies.

Those that are size of 10 Sen coin is about 1:6 scale, price ranges from RM 12 to 15 but could be higher depending on the complexity. All you need to do is show her the food photo and let her know the scale, of course she’ll be the one advising you on whether it can be done and how much will it cost.

Just in case you wonder what they’re made of, the material used is resin.

  1. Dear Polly, I have just returned (5 a.m. this moinrng) from a trip to the U.S. and Canada and found your very encouraging reply on your blog. I do not quite understand what you mean by “send them to our email address”. My renditions are more or less openly published (for criticism and improvement) on my 2 blogs and the discussion that is going on, particularly on my blog on the H.K. Economic Journal, is most enthusiastic. Are you proposing I post them on your blog? Best wishes, Andrew Wong.
