Nothing beats a heart warming meal when one’s at a place of cooling weather, The Bakery is a great place for that quick snack if you’re into pastries.
A restaurant with simple decor, The Bakery dimly lit nature makes it all the more comfortable for indulging in delicious late night snacks.
The reason why I made a stop at The Bakery was simply because of Chicken Pie. I didn’t state that in the title because you’ll see that coming! You see, when I was a child, I loved the Chicken Pie at Genting Highlands and having not visit the place for decades, I can’t help but wonder whether the chicken pie is still in existence.
I shared my thoughts to one of the courteous hotel staff who was accompanying us as we were about to leave this place and he did mention the The Bakery is known for it’s Chicken Pie. You can imagine my excitement.
In fact the pie is so popular, it’s even highlighted on The Bakery’s page.
Take a bite from our oven fresh pastries, cakes and sandwiches, made using traditional recipes and baked to perfection! The Genting Chicken Pie has made a name for itself, so much so that some visitors have been known to order it in bulk whenever they are at Genting. Ingredients for the pie include minced chicken meat, green peas and carrots cut into cubes.
Lo and behold, the RM 8 Chicken Pie!
The ingredients they mentioned? Well it’s all there!
Ahhh that 5 minutes of pie-muching does make me feel like a child again, certainly trip down memory lane.
To wrap up the meal, one could always treat themselves to Hot Chocolate Double for RM 16.50 – the price is rather steep but it’s really enjoyable.
You can imagine how rich the drink gets as all the chocolate melts away.
The Bakery opens at 7am daily and closes at 1am on weekdays, 3am on weekends and public holidays. 🙂 Great for people who get hungry in the middle of the night!
