If you’ve been to Bangi, you might come across this brand Yati – it’s a famous brand from Kota Bharu.
The original shop in Kota Bharu looks no different from any other restaurant by the road, stepping in to the restaurant, the first area that’s to catch ones attention is the food preparation area. That’s where all our dishes come from.
And so our dinner – 2x Nasi Kerabu (they ran out of blue rice it seems), 1x Ayam Percik (huge!), 1x Kulit (yes, chicken skin!) and 2 drinks. It comes to a total of RM 25.20
Here’s a closer view of the ayam percik where the lovely sweet and salty gravy has an uncanny resemblance to melted cheese.
And here’s the “kulit” – my recommendation is that you remove as much fats as possible before devouring them.
If you’re in Kota Bharu, check out The Original Yati Ayam Percik at 847 Jalan Long Yunus, Kota Bharu 15200, Malaysia. Their location is available on Foursquare. They open daily from noon to 11:30PM, with 1 hour break from 1PM to 2PM for Friday Prayers.
