Strolling along the busy paths of the Shilin Night Market, I came across this rather interesting stall sells fried onigiri. I love onigiri but I’ve not tried any fried ones before so I decided to give it a shot.
Apparently this brand of fried onigiri stall is quite popular in Taiwan and they’re also found in other night markets. They have a huge range of onigiri, a single piece like the one I ordered costs 50NT. You’ll get 10NT discount if you buy 3. 🙂
The onigiri is prepared at the stall itself, the make of the onigiri of course depends on what you ordered.
For my onigiri, I ordered their #1 best seller which is the one with grilled chicken.
The onigiri is quite thick, it comes with a touch of chicken and vegetables. I think it’s 50NT well spent here, consider that the onigiri wasn’t disappointing at all.
