Walking around the Shilin Night Market on a cooling evening, we decided to give this shop a try. Main reason? We’re hungry, and the price of the food here seems reasonable and it was early in the evening so there’s no crowd yet.
The restaurant is small and brightly lit, the food is prepared at the entrance.
Here’s the chef at work, I think it’s a great way to let people know what’s going on in the kitchen.
The menu is in Chinese, the restaurant doesn’t have an English name either. The menu is predominantly about steak, or beef related items. They do serve fish, pork, lamb and prawn related dishes but it’s limited to only 1 for each.
We ordered the pork set.
And also one for the beef.
The set comes with winter melon tea, corn soup and some buns.
What I found out is that 紫牛牛排館 has other outlets in the Taipei and they serve a wider variety of food. Check out the links below …..
