Long restaurant names are hard to come by and it’s even hard to come by one that makes your thought go the wrong direction, Naughty Babe Dirty Duck is one that nails both of those but really, there’s nothing naughty or dirty about them. 😀 Set your mind straight!
Naughty Babe Dirty Duck is located at Desa Sri Hartamas, yes that place is quite notorious when it comes to finding parking spots but fear not, they’ve opened a new outlet at Bangsar. Oh wait, isn’t that the other place that’s equally notorious when it comes to finding parking spots? Oh well, at least you have an option now.
In any case, the restaurant is dim but very well decorated. It gives a farm like (not the Malaysian farm!) feel, perhaps it is better described as “barn-like” feel. The interior is dark, so dark that it took quite a while for my eyes to get adjusted to it, after all we entered the place during lunch hour and it so happened that the sun was merciless that afternoon.
Fortunately the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge that I’m testing out takes great photos under low-light condition.

With that shameless promotion done with, let’s move on to what we had that day. We ordered the Naughty Strip (RM 22) for our appetizer, don’t worry – no striptease happened. Unfortunately it’s not bacon strips either, Naughty Strip is a basket of fried calamari strips served with garlic aioli.
On to the heavier stuff, Balsamic Glazed Smoked Duck Breast (RM 48) – 200gm smoke duck breast served with sauteed potato and pork bacon. It’s tastes good, heavy in flavor but the presentation was dull and the duck meat would be better if they were a bit more tender.
The Stuff Duck Leg with Turkey Ham and Pork (RM 38), served with spinach mashed potato and red wine sauce. It’s rare to come by duck served this fashion and it’s not a bad choice if you want something different.
The NZ Lamb Chop comes next (RM 48), the lamb was good and tender but not as tender as I had hoped for. Overall it was still enjoyable, especially if you intend to have something that’s neither pork nor duck.
Then of course there’s the main star of the lunch – NBDD BBQ Pork Ribs, full slab at RM 68. Was it good? Oh yes it was. Was it the best? No, I’ve had better ones. The meat again wasn’t as tender as what I hoped for – see the pattern so far? That’s not to say it isn’t good but it could’ve been better.
A meal wouldn’t be complete without some greens, here’s the Naughty Garden Salad (RM 14) that’s a mix of lettuce, cherry tomato and crispy anchovies in Italian dressing.
Naughty Babe Dirty Duck certainly serves good food but the price is on the high side which is a little hard to justify unless they could do something to improve the food. It’s good but I feel that it’s slightly off the mark when you compare them to restaurants that have similar offerings at similar price.
