HK = Hong Kong. Ok so wait, I had a HONG KONG style food over in TAIWAN? What was I thinking?!?!? Well, I was hungry and it was late, and I happen to have noticed a 24-hour restaurant on an upper floor right across the road near my hotel so that’s how I ended up at this superb restaurant.
The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building, you probably wouldn’t have noticed this restaurant unless you’re across the road like how I took notice of it.
It was a comfortable restaurant with the interior brightly lit, and to my surprise it’s still with quite some crowd despite being almost 11PM at the time of our visit!
We started off our late night raid with a jug of delicious (rather sweet) watermelon juice at some 200NT.
Our main course for the night is Yeung Chow fried rice at 200NT, well fried with that tantalizing aroma of “wok hei” to get our engines running. This plate of rice is just enough for up to 2 persons.
Rice aside, we added a host of dim sum to make it a complete meal and we weren’t disappointed.
These dim sum averaged out to about 100NT each, it’s pretty difficult for me to describe them individually but what I can tell you is that they are very well made, you can tell that it wasn’t some shoddy work.
If you’re in Taipei and happen to be near Zhongxiao Road, you should consider paying this place a visit.
