About Buurps
Hello there,
Welcome you to our blog Buurps.com – Spontaneous Food-nalism.
Why Buurps?
Burp – A noun, indicating the act or an instance of belching.
Buurps – A noun, indicating a bunch of ever hungry individuals that are constantly on the prowl, looking for anything that’s worthy of satisfying their lust of pampering their tummy.
With almost total disregard of the consequences that may take place on their figure, these individuals take on not just the streets of KL but also any part of the world that they set food……er foot on, but usually it’s just in the Klang Valley of Malaysia la.
Buurps.com – A noun, indicating the website which you are at right now. Buurps.com is THE PLACE where those nonsense fellas (Yes, those above la. Who else?) boast in horrible English about what they ate just the other day.
Why Spontaneous Food-nalism?
That’s because our reviews a.k.a. Food Journalism – are almost always spontaneous, a split-second thought dictated by our greatest enemy – our cravings.
It could be a new place, it could be an unknown place, it could be just a place we heard from someone – rest assured that we commit ourselves to report what might be good for you……… and also what might be good for adding an inch or 2 on your waistline. I hear the ladies scream!
The Ragtag Army Of Incredible People

Brian Chong a.k.a goldfries
Brian runs a web solutions company in the morning, turns into photographer in the afternoon, a blogger / writer at night, and a self-proclaimed world-class food-enthusiast during every other time in between and beyond. He is generally carnivorous when it comes to food but doesn’t mind the occasional greens.
Brian is also the person who’s doing all the dirty work behind the scene so if there’s anything wrong with the site, you know who to find…….. and blame.

Katheryna Teoh a.k.a. lexiegirl
The sweet girl-next-door that’s not just a food enthusiasts but also a good cook herself. Katheryna is our usual slave for taking notes but don’t be fooled by this scribbling lady, she can work out an appetite when it comes to savoury food.

Wesley Wee a.k.a. noe4ting
When friends come across his nick – noe4ting, they would go,“What does that means? Noe-4-ting? What’s that?!..” If you were to look at the numeric 4, it represents an alphabet, which is A. So, its supposed to be ‘NOEATING’. He started using this nick since 1997 (You know, back in the mIRC chatting era, its cool to have a cool nick. He thought ‘noeating’ sounds cool, not until he was then called by friends – Signboard. You know, those signboards in trains or some shops where you are not supposed to eat or drink?), this nick is also to remind him of not to over indulge in food, hence put on weights.
So, since he loves eating so much (He lives to eat, really), he has decided to join force with the “DARK ONES”, (Brian & Eric) to write articles about good places to eat out, so that he won’t feel lonely of becoming fat. Almost every meal to him is sinful (Damn high FAT & CARBO), but he always tell myself, “Don’t worry, can repent after that…..” He is basically a product of Pork, Chicken, Cow, Lamb, Fish, Pork Lard, Pork, Chocolates, Ice creams, Pork & etc. (Overdosed with Pork) He is still in hope that he will not look like a pregnant mother during her third trimester. He told himself, “I.WILL.NOT!”
Anyway, he will have to work out some plans for himself. His entries may not sound good grammatically (Pretty much the way he speaks), but he knows quite a fair bit of good places to eat out. So, hope you still enjoy reading his articles & also to experience the fun & exciting eat out sessions as much as he does.

Eric Ho a.k.a bogieman
Eric studied and took his career in the F&B industry which later took a small twist into marketing research, spending much of his career specializing in retail research.
As a child, Eric has always been fascinated by the wonderful world of gastronomical delights and photography, and he took this fascination to realization by coaxing Brian (a.k.a goldfries) to embark on the journey together to find the ultimate buurping experience.
